Solon Kandel – Principal
Mr. Kandel possesses over 20 years of business, start-up and entrepreneurial experience. He has founded or been involved in managing, developing, operating and/or advising numerous private and public companies. His multi-billion dollar activities have spanned a variety of Web-based and “bricks and mortar” retail, marketing, manufacturing, distribution, software, Telecom, finance, commercial real estate and engineering opportunities, among others. Throughout his career, Mr. Kandel has specialized in growing businesses, as well as a maintaining a commitment and passion for building relationships and opportunities worldwide. Mr. Kandel is also proud to be a Truman Scholar.
Mark Terrill – President
Mr. Terrill brings over 25 years’ experience building companies and providing entrepreneurial leadership, including in 3 startups. He has successfully built teams and organizations from the ground up in various fields and of all sizes, from start-up to Fortune 100. Two companies he lead ended up being acquired. His history in the healthcare and commercial real estate sectors has led to continuous high growth, process improvement and increased revenue and profit. With extensive experience in operations, marketing and business development, Mr. Terrill prides himself in launching new products with unprecedented success. Mr. Terrill specializes in building businesses which are committed to customer service and maintaining personal, mutually beneficial long term relationships.
Michelle S. Delany – Director of Funding
Michelle brings over 30 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry, having served as CFO for a major City as well as the Director of Treasury and Portfolio Management for a large community bank. Additionally, Michelle has held senior management positions as a Commercial Lender, Private Banker and Portfolio Manager.
Michelle has built her career by forming strong relationships with her clients and professional associates, listening to their needs and developing and implementing financial solutions to help them achieve their goals.
Michelle holds a Master of Science in Finance from New York University as well as a Bachelor of Science from Rutgers University. Additionally she has completed the CFP program at the College for Financial Planning in Boulder, Colorado.
Irv Klondar – Director of Funding
Irv brings vast knowledge and decades of experience to Prime Global Funding, including in the areas of finance, underwriting and commercial real estate. He has worked with financial institutions, banks, commercial mortgage companies and private equity groups.
Irv has been involved in all aspects of the loan closing process. Among his senior leadership experiences, Irv was a successful President/CEO of New World Financial, as the company grew under his direction. He was also VP of Commercial Real Estate at Sun American Bank.
At Prime Global Funding, Irv continues his focus on the funding process, in helping our clients obtain and close on their financing objectives.
Carmen de Ocampo – Director of Development and Funding
Carmen de Ocampo, Director of Business Funding and Development, brings 33 years of experience providing financing solutions to commercial and residential developers and builders, business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals in a broad range of industries. Prior to joining Prime Global Funding, Carmen offered consulting services both in the U.S. and Peru, after having held Senior Vice President roles that ranged from Commercial, to Commercial Real Estate and Loan Workouts with both national and regional institutions such as Bank of America, SouthTrust, Colonial Bank, and First Citizens Bank, NC. She has actively participated in the generation of over $4BN in financing. Her success is attributed to a focus on identifying customer needs and developing financial solutions, leveraging from the strengths of her teammates, network, and earning trust.
Terry L. Schrubb – Director of Business Development
With over 25 years in International Business and Finance, Mr. Schrubb is Director of Business Development at Prime Global Funding. Mr. Schrubb held the position of Managing Member of Capital West Funding for the last eight years, actively involved in banking and private equity, debt, mezzanine and EB-5 loan structures. Prior to this Mr. Schrubb was with Meridian Capital and was the lead in several commercial funding projects, including a 330 million CMBS loan for the acquisition of a Chicago landmark property. His former and current investment banking experience involve particular focus on senior and subordinated debt, private equity and compiling short and long term solution structures.
Prior to this, Mr. Schrubb owned and operated his own Yacht dealerships and yachting consulting businesses. He was the 4th largest global dealer for Luhrs and Mainship and subsequently in charge of the international distribution and dealer network for Canados Yachts out of Italy. Mr. Schrubb also has extensive international business consulting experience with manufacturing facilities from Europe to Beijing, Shenzhen and Zhuhai China, for business development with manufacturing overseas coming to the US markets. In the Fall of 2015, Mr. Schrubb participated in an Economic Summit in Beijing by special invitation of the Chinese government. Earlier in his career, Mr. Schrubb worked with Military sealift command as a GS-10 with Top Secret clearances through DOD on the initial voyages and commissioning of the USNS Pecos as a function of his Marine engineering and architectural studies at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy.
Mr. Schrubb’s clients rely on his hands-on personal approach, out-of-the-box thinking, ability to resolve issues and attention to detail. He prides himself in always being available and making sure transactions are seamlessly and expeditiously closed.
Ray Carolin – Director of Business Development
Ray Carolin, a native of Westbury, NY serves as Director of Business Development. After serving honorably in the United States Air Force he attended Northern Michigan University on a football scholarship. Upon graduation, he then served as a Special Agent in the United States Secret Service where he served as a criminal investigator and protective agent for the President of the United States.
He then began a business career where he served as a vice-president and national sales manager for The Coca-Cola Company, and as president of MacGregor Sporting Goods, Inc – Team Sports Division. Until recently, he served as co-founder and chief executive officer of Star Media/Cinema One Entertainment Corp, a global provider of unique entertainment programs such a concerts and sports to an exclusive network of 6,000 movie theater’s located in 50 States and 65 countries. He attended Thunderbird, Graduate School of International Business where he graduated from the Executive Management Program.
